Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah Obituaries: James Harold Reynolds (1945-2023)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Harold Reynolds, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on October 11, 2023, at the age of 78. Born in Ogden, Utah, on January 19, 1982, to Boyd Jay and Gail Earl, James grew up with a strong sense of family values that would stay with him throughout his life.

James graduated from Moapa Valley High School in 1999 and later earned a bachelor's degree in child development studies from Southern Utah University (SUU) in 2004. He spent many years building a successful career and creating lasting memories with those around him.

James is survived by his wife, Chrystine Heward Reynolds; their children, Cheri Reynolds Briar, Tami Reynolds Janousek, Juli Reynolds Smith, Kimberli Reynolds Tobey, Bryan Reynolds, and Niki Reynolds Leighton; siblings, Annette Reynolds Sessions and John G. Reynolds; grandchildren, Alton Briar, Tyler, Sydney, Wyatt Janousek, Bethany Forde, Harley Smith, Bethany June Vick, Bradley, Zachary Smith, Madison, Emile, Lily, Ella Randolph, and Kat Tobey; and great-grandchild, Allie Vick.

James was predeceased by his parents, William Henry Reynolds and Evelyn Sarah Nielsen Reynolds, as well as his foster daughter, Geraldine Ann Smith. His love for his family and community will be deeply missed.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has supported them during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James' name to a charity of your choice.
